Relax, It’s Just a Cold

I caught a cold on Friday.  It started out with a sore throat and eventually ended up in my sinuses.  It wasn’t a particularly bad cold.  I’ve had much worse.  I could have panicked.  I could have called my doctor, freaked out that it was “the COVID”.  But I didn’t.

Mistrusting the CDC

CDC stands for “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”.  The “and Prevention” part was added years after the “CDC” part which is why their acronym isn’t CDCP.  I guess they already had the business cards and letterhead paper printed so changing to CDCP would have been a big expense.

Just Like Dave

We’ve been told that profiling is wrong.  We’ve also been warned against stereotyping and told that every individual deserves to be judged separately and not penalized for the action of others. But, what about Karen?  I know a lot of women named Karen.  Most of them are really great people.

The Star of COVID

It’s problem-solving day again.  Time to find a solution for something that needs one.  Today’s topic: Identifying people who haven’t been vaccinated.  Let me start out by saying that I believe there’s nothing worse than someone who chooses not to be injected with an experimental drug.  Who are they to

Asian is the New Black

Hey everybody.  This is a friendly reminder that it’s time to re-accessorize.  It’s 2021 and you know what that means.  Yup.  It’s time you upped your virtue-signaling game and start protesting racism against people of Asian descent.  White on black racism?  That is SO last year. Hanging around with your

One (Un)lucky SOB

I think I might just be the unluckiest SOB on the planet.  Here’s my situation… I give blood whenever I can, and the Red Cross tests all donated blood for COVID-19 antibodies.  Each time I give blood, I eagerly wait for the results of my latest antibody test.  And each

Wasting Away

Even though I’m perfectly healthy, my life is wasting away because of COVID-19.  Allow me to explain. I was recently in line at the grocery store, waiting to check out.  The woman behind the register was wearing a mask and a big plastic face shield, and was separated from the
