Pity the Fools

I was watching a “discussion” on social media the other day.  Someone, obviously a Liberal, made the comment that there were many accomplishments of Biden that she’s proud of.  Yes, she actually used the word “many”.  I took the bait and asked her to name just one.  She never replied.

And that reaffirms the quickest way to get a Liberal to shut up is to simply ask them to back up what they’re saying with facts.  95% of the time, the conversation will end right there.  2% of the time they’ll tell you that facts are racist.

That leaves 3%.  Those are the times when they’ll will post a link to an article from CNN, the New York Times, a “fact-checker” or some other obviously-biased source.  Then they act like the article is some indisputable encyclopedia of knowledge that somehow proves their argument.

But that’s not how the people they’re arguing with see it.  No, when someone presents CNN as the voice of reason, we see it for exactly what it is.  A deceptive story shared by an uninformed fool who is being used to spread and perpetuate misinformation.

As Mr. T so famously said, “I pity the fool.”

I really do.  I pity anyone who genuinely believes that the mainstream media or “fact checkers” are unbiased sources for anything.

Lately, the Liberals on social media have started using a different tactic.  When “discussing” anything related to President Trump, they’ll post a link to the January 6th Committee hearings.  As if that somehow makes their point for them.

But we see that for what it is too.  We see someone who has drunk every flavor of Kool-Aid there is, and is no longer capable of thinking for themselves.

A bit harsh?  I don’t think so.

Full disclosure:  I haven’t watched any of the proceedings and I have no intention of doing so.  I don’t see the point.

I don’t need the distraction.  Because that’s all this is.  They’ve had nearly a year and a half to put together the show they want everyone to see.  There are not going to be any surprises.  The whole thing is a carefully choreographed stunt to keep people entertained while giving them the false sense that justice is being served.

I’d love to see a full accounting on live TV of January 6th.  Like an explanation of how a police officer can shoot Ashli Babbitt at point blank range, kill her, and completely get away with it.  Now that I’d watch.

Or how none of the people associated with Black Lives Matter, who by-the-way were also inside the Capitol building that day, were charged with anything.  But the people wearing MAGA hats standing right next to them have been in prison for over a year.

I know BLM was there because they posted videos of themselves on social media.  They freely admit it.  So, if someone wants to tell me how that’s fair, I’d gladly tune in.

Maybe they could kindly explain the events that happened prior to January 6th.  Like telling us how first chasing away all non-partisan observers, then pulling out ballots hidden beneath tables and scanning them all night could be considered “standard operating procedure”.  I’d love to hear them explain that away.

Except they won’t.

Any information that comes from the January 6th dog-and-pony show is at best misinformation, and at worst outright lies.

How do I know?

Because the people responsible for putting on this prime-time extravaganza have lied to us many times before.  Like when they lied about Trump colluding with the Russians.  And how they claim that the vackseens aren’t killing anyone.  Or that Hunter Biden is just misunderstood.  Or that Joe Biden isn’t insane.  Or that Putin is somehow responsible for everything bad happening in the country today.

Which is why I don’t understand why anyone could point to the January 6th hearings and use it as ammunition to prove their point.  Maybe I shouldn’t use the word “ammunition”.  It’s probably a trigger word for someone.  But probably not anyone reading this.

What are these people thinking?  Oh yeah, I already mentioned that they’re not.  I’m not sure what’s going on in their heads.  Maybe they’re just extreme optimists.  I imagine something like this is bouncing around in the empty cavity where their brain used to be: “Sure, they’ve been lying to us for years.  But I’m certain that THIS time they’re telling the truth.”

It’s more likely that the reason is that they simply believe everything the mainstream media and the “fact-checkers” tell them because they’re not aware they’ve been lied to the entire time.

From there, it doesn’t take much of a leap to believe that the people running the January 6th prime-time spectacular are also trustworthy and telling the truth.

Like I said, I haven’t and won’t watch any of it.  Because there’s no point.  I already know they’re going to be lying to me.  Because that’s what they do.

But a lot of people are going to watch and most of them are going to believe everything they hear.  Then they’re going to try to use that misinformation to convince others to believe it too.

Which is a little sad.

It would be easy to be angry with people like that.  After all, at least 2% of the time they go nonlinear and fire back with nothing but hate.  We’re in disagreement the exact same amount on the exact same issues.  But you don’t see me spewing insults and profanities when someone doesn’t see eye-to-eye with me.

But I’m not angry with these people.  That would be like being angry with an infant because they don’t possess high-level reasoning skills.

It’s sad to think that there are so many people who have abandoned common sense and reason, and have been fooled into replacing their own good judgement with whatever big government, big media and big pharma tells them to believe.

No, I’m not angry with them.  And I won’t stoop to their level.

I feel sad for them.  And I pity the fools.
