Black Lives Mattered

According to FatalEncounters.org, there have been 23 black men and 1 black woman killed during encounters with law enforcement since election day.  I realize I’ve been paying a lot of attention to the whole election fraud thing, but I can’t believe I completely missed seeing all of those riots.

In fact, I’m pretty sure that if there were 23 riots in the past three weeks (BLM never seemed to care about black women killed by the police), I would have at least heard about them.

If Black Lives Mattered so much a month ago, why don’t they matter as much now?  Why was it so important to protest against “racial injustice” in October but not in November?

Maybe it’s because all of the men killed were attacking the police.  No, that can’t be it.  Because they ally weren’t attacking the police.  Besides, whether or not they’re attacking doesn’t seem to matter.  Philadelphia burned on October 27th, after Walter Wallace was killed while chasing an officer with a large knife.  There was a body-cam video clearly showing the threat.  But the city burned anyway.

Maybe it’s because the police have been completely forthcoming in all of these cases and there are no questions that they were defending their lives.  No, that can’t be it.  Teenagers Sincere Pierce and A.J. Crooms were killed on November 13th by a Brevard County (Florida) Sheriff’s Deputy and there are still unanswered questions about what led to their deaths.  But there was no riot.

Maybe the systemic racism that was claimed to be in every police department has suddenly disappeared.  Or maybe it’s just that the racist white cops that were said to permeate every police department in America have suddenly left the job, or magically seen the light and changed their ways.

No, none of those things are the reason why cities are no longer burning in the name of racial justice. Well, OK.  Portland is still burning but I’m not really sure why.  In any case, nobody is paying much attention to them anymore because those people are nuts.

Black Lives Matter was never about black men getting killed by the police.  It was about gaining political favor.

In a letter to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors requested a meeting “…to discuss the expectations that we have for your administration and the commitments that must be made to Black people.  She also said, “Black Lives Matter invested heavily in this election” and “We want something for our vote”.

The destruction across America that happened in the months prior to the election was the result of a false narrative that black men were being hunted and exterminated by racist cops.  The goal was to paint President Trump as a racist and drive black voters to Biden.

And that’s why we’re not seeing any more outrage about black men being killed by the police.  Because Black Lives Mattered more before the election than they do after.
