Tactical Procrastination

I’m going to tell you exactly what’s going to happen after the 2020 election audit is completed in Maricopa County, AZ.

Absolutely nothing.

Regardless of the outcome of the audit in Arizona or any other place votes are being scrutinized, nothing is going to change.

Well, that’s not entirely true.  Things could change for how future elections are being handled, but overturning the 2020 election?  Not gonna happen.

First of all, keep in mind that there are “only” three and a half years left in Biden’s term.  When lawyers are involved, that’s like a blink of an eye.

If/When the Arizona audit produces evidence that Trump would have won Arizona, there will be an immediate and concentrated effort to discredit the results.  No surprise there, that’s already happening.

But it will get worse.  The smear campaign will expand to include anyone who in any way participated in the audit.  The audit will be dissected by “experts” to show how flawed the process was, and how meaningless the results are.  Big Media will glom onto anything that they can turn into clickbait and reinforce their claim that accusations of fraud are “baseless”.  These things are already occurring, but the Democrats and Big Media will crank the knob up to eleven.

Both sides are going to start/keep suing the other in a nonstop fight to keep one side from doing what the other side doesn’t want them to do.  Whenever one side wins, the other side will appeal and vice versa.  Wash, rinse, repeat.  This will continue for years.  Certainly, it will take longer than the three and a half years we have left.  And, by then, it will be too late to do anything.

The results of the election won’t be overturned.  Not because there wasn’t any fraud, but because of the Democrat’s successful misuse of our legal system to delay things until it can’t be changed.

But, for the sake of argument, let’s say that multiple states “decertify” their electoral results.  Let’s say that enough states change their electoral votes so that Trump has more than the 270 votes required to win.  Then what?

That’s easy.  They go back to filing lawsuits.  Wash, rinse, repeat.  The filing and appealing process will continue until the last step is the Supreme Court.  And then, the United States Supreme Court will decline to hear the case.

As with the other election cases they’ve declined to hear, we likely won’t find out why they’re declining to hear this case.  If we get any explanation at all, it will be that the case was declined because the Constitution doesn’t provide a mechanism to do what the plaintiffs will be asking…to overturn the election.  So, the case will be declared moot.

That will leave impeachment as the remaining option.  It’s possible that after the midterm election, Republicans will have enough influence to impeach Joe Biden.  But, the only thing that would do is make Kamala Harris president (if she isn’t already).  Of course, Kamala could be impeached too.  But that won’t make Trump president either.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but no matter how much you want to believe that it’s possible, there is no scenario where Donald Trump is reinstated as President.  The results of the 2020 election will never be overturned.

That doesn’t mean we should stop performing the audits.  The audits are important because they’ll uncover the malfeasance that we all (or a lot of us anyway) know exists.  Well that…and because the midterm elections are coming up.

Here’s the (only) good part: The guilty can delay all they want. We don’t have to actually perform the audits to find the corruption.  We just need to see who tries to block the audits from happening.  And then vote against them.
