In January 2013, President Barack Obama said, “If there’s even one thing we can do to reduce this [gun] violence, if there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try.” A few weeks later he tweeted, “If we save even one life from gun violence, it’s worth it.” His Vice President, Joe Biden, backed him up, saying, “As the President said, if your actions result in only saving one life, they’re worth taking.”
So, the number of acceptable deaths in this case is zero. Interesting.
In 2019, less than twenty unarmed (but still dangerous) black men in the U.S. were killed by the police. These few deaths produced an outrage. The result was a “mostly-peaceful protest” where billions of dollars of damage (and counting) and multiple deaths of innocent people has been caused by BLM and ANTIFA activists. BLM supporters claimed that even a single death of a (black) man by a police officer was one death too many.
Again, the acceptable number of deaths is zero. Hmm.
When speaking about his decision to essentially ruin thousands of business owners due to his severe and mostly-useless COVID restrictions, Governor Andrew Cuomo said, “And if everything we do saves just one life, I’ll be happy.”
And yet again, the bar is set at zero.
Let me make sure I’ve got this straight. If even a just one person is killed by a gun, or by the police (as long as that person is black) or by COVID-19, it’s considered a problem. OK. Got it.
So, if I were to ask how many people have to die by the hand of an illegal immigrant before it becomes unacceptable, what would the answer be? Turns out it’s a lot bigger than zero. And sadly, we don’t actually know what that number is because we haven’t reached it yet.
Here’s a small sample of completely innocent people who have been killed by illegal aliens:

2019 – Alfonso Mendez-Lopez, age 26, Fort Wayne, IN
2019 – Juan Carols Con Guzman, age 16, Seattle
2020 – Julie Smith, age 41, Orlando
2020 – Scarlett Smith, age 5, Orlando
2020 – Jaxon Smith, age 12, Orlando
2020 – Josephine Fay, (grandmother) Orlando
2021 – Karen Ruiz, age 35, Pacoima, CA
Every one of these people were killed by someone who was in this country illegally. That’s a dozen people and I wasn’t even looking very hard. I assure you there are plenty more. In 2019 alone there were 2,500 illegal aliens charged or convicted of homicide. And, there were over 74,000 illegal aliens convicted of DUI. My little list above doesn’t even scratch the surface.
And yet Big Media remains silent and politicians work to make it easier for people to enter this country illegally, and more difficult to deport violent felons.
If the acceptable number of deaths caused by any single catalyst has been defined as zero, then why isn’t someone doing something about people getting killed by illegal aliens? We’ve got people who don’t belong here killing people who do. Fixing that problem should be a priority. It should certainly be a higher priority than BLM. Because BLM is based on a fairy tale of racist police boogeymen while the number of people getting killed by illegal aliens is based on, you know, facts.
What do you suppose would happen if people started looting Targets and burning down cities to protest innocent people (really innocent people) being killed unnecessarily by illegal aliens? I’ll tell you what would happen. The protesters would be arrested, and Big Media would portray them as racists, xenophobic, and whatever-supremacists. And they for sure wouldn’t be called “mostly peaceful”. Should an innocent bystander be killed during their “violent insurrection”, at least one of the protesters would be charged and convicted of homicide.
I’ve seen comparisons of the murder rate between legal and illegal immigrants. You know what? It doesn’t matter. Any comparison between the two is entirely irrelevant. It makes no difference which group has the higher murder rate. If the illegal aliens weren’t in this country in the first place, they would be killing zero people here in the United States. Period.
I fully realize that zero is an impossible number to obtain. To expect to have no deaths due to guns, police, COVID-19 or illegal aliens is foolish and unrealistic. No matter how hard we strive, we will never be able to eliminate all murders committed by illegal aliens. It doesn’t mean, however, that we should do nothing.
But doing nothing might be a better solution, because what is being done is worse than doing nothing at all.
Local governments are making it easier for criminals to enter the country and even harder to get rid of them once they’re here. Instead of working with ICE to find and deport criminals, we have cities, counties and entire states declaring themselves to be “sanctuaries” for illegal aliens.
Many of the killers of the people listed above were in custody but let go by local authorities without having first notified ICE of their capture. Some of them were deported but came right back across the border. These “sanctuaries” have decided not to cooperate with Federal authorities and believe that protecting murderers is more important than protecting the lives of their innocent victims.
If an illegal alien is caught, they should be deported immediately. We shouldn’t be giving them government assistance or driver’s licenses. We should round them up and send them back to wherever they came from. Pronto. Allowing them to remain in the country, and essentially paying them to do so, is an insult to every single person who followed the rules and came here through the legal process.
The number of acceptable deaths for any single cause has been defined as zero. That’s not my number. That number came from a President, a Vice President, a Governor and every other Liberal crying for our guns to be taken away, businesses to be shut down and the police to be defunded, just to save one life.
They set the expectation, not me. I’m just applying the same logic to a different set of circumstances. If trampling on the rights of American are acceptable solutions, then maybe we shouldn’t worry too much about the so-called rights of criminals who are here illegally.
Nothing is being done to address the issue of people who aren’t in this country legally killing people who are. If politicians aren’t willing to stop dangerous illegal aliens from killing innocent people, then at the very least, they should stop making the problem worse.
Let’s take it a step further.
Any criminal activity perpetrated by an illegal alien who was protected by a “sanctuary”, or by Biden’s moratorium on deportation, is 100% preventable. Therefore, whoever is responsible for allowing illegal aliens to be here to commit those crimes is also partly responsible any crimes they commit. And that person should be held accountable.
It really is that simple. Once we start seeing politicians going to jail on accessory-to-murder convictions this problem will quickly disappear.
