I tried to watch the congressional grilling of Bobby Kennedy last week. But I just couldn’t. The parts I saw were mostly screaming matches. I was embarrassed for everyone involved.
The whole format of those hearings is ridiculous. First, some member of the committee will take 5 minutes to ask a question. The question part takes about 10 seconds. The speech leading up to the question takes the other 4 minutes and 50 seconds.
Instead of just asking a question, they talk and talk about their opinion or whatever point they’re trying to make. Usually, it’s not even relevant to the proceedings. Then they ask their question, and after Bobby got about 5 words out, they started talking over him. Many times, he never even got a chance to give an answer.
Nobody on the committee was interested in hearing what the Secretary of HHS had to say. They only wanted their own words on the Congressional record.
Unknowable
One video I saw was somebody complaining about Bobby not knowing off the top of his head how many people died from COVID.
He didn’t know because NOBODY knows how many people died from COVID. Because they misclassified people dying when simply tested positive with COVID as having died from COVID.
In fact, they don’t even know how many people died with COVID because hospitals fudged their numbers to get some of that sweet, sweet COVID money the government was throwing around.
Any number Bobby would have given would have been wrong. We don’t even have ballpark-accurate numbers.
This isn’t anything new. We talked about this 5 years ago. The fact that members of Congress don’t know or won’t acknowledge this fact says a lot about their own competency.
Another snippet I saw was of one of the committee members claiming that the COVID vackseens saved millions of people.
We all know by now that the COVID vackseens were neither safe nor effective. Most of us knew that four and a half years ago.
But it’s possible that for some people the vackseen did lessen the severity of the disease. And if you were fat, old, or had a pre-existing medical condition, maybe the vackseen made you just less sick enough so you survived.
We were told unequivocally that if you received the vackseen, you would neither get sick nor be able to spread the disease. But that wasn’t true.
COVID Mary
By alleviating symptoms, but not reducing someone’s contagiousness, it created a lot of people who were asymptomatic carriers of COVID.
So, it’s quite possible that the number of people “saved” by the vackseens is actually less than the number of people who contracted COVID and died, after being exposed to people who thought they weren’t contagious but actually were.
And let’s not forget all the people who were maimed or killed by those experimental drugs.
When you add the maimed and killed people to the people who died from COVID after coming in contact with people who were the COVID equivalent of Typhoid Mary, it’s nearly certain that the COVID drugs killed many more people than they saved.
This isn’t anything new. And clearly, if the members of Congress had been paying attention at all, it’s something they should already know. And yet they continued to spout talking points that about half the country knew weren’t true nearly five years ago.
How can that be?
40 Pieces of Silver
Well, one of the main things I took away from my aborted attempt to watch that congressional circus was that it’s really easy to tell who’s being paid off by Big Pharma.
The amount of money a member of Congress is getting from the pharmaceutical companies is directly proportional to the how big of an asshole they were being in the hearing/inquisition.
The bigger the asshole, the bigger the payout.
There’s no other reason to be parading out so-called “facts” that were proven years ago to be misinformation, or just plain wrong.
Well, there actually is another reason. Stupidity.
So, the people giving RFKJ the hardest time are either very, very stupid, or have been bought and paid for by Big Pharma. I suspect it’s a little from column A and a little from column B.
It was obvious from what little I watched that the inquisitors had already decided how they were going to respond. It didn’t matter how the question was answered. They were going to ask their question, give the witness a few seconds to respond and then disagree with whatever they said.
And it’s just not this particular hearing. In fact, aside from perhaps having a bit more yelling than usual, I’d say that it was pretty much on par with the other ones I’ve seen.
I just watched part of the inquisition of Kash Patel, which also ended up with people screaming at each other. And they used the same old tricks trying to manufacture sound bites.
It’s all about the “likes”
It happens every time. Members of Congress act like idiots and assholes, grill someone for a few hours, and then adjourn without accomplishing anything.
And it’s not just limited to Democrats either. There are plenty of Republicans, and Independents, that use their time on-camera to show us just how little they know about pretty much everything. And how unfit they are to hold the position they have.
I’d like to know how much one of those Congressional hearings costs. Because they’re not free and they appear to have no value whatsoever. Well, not to us taxpayers anyway. I’m sure they have value for the members of the committee.
These inquisitions are entirely performative. Nobody is listening to anybody. All they’re trying to do is generate content for their social media accounts.
To what end?
Useless
Have you heard of anything that has ever come from one of these so-called “hearings”? Give me one example. It can be something you agree or disagree with. Just give me one example where a hearing resulted in any kind of action whatsoever?
Yeah. I can’t think of one either.
There is absolutely no benefit to holding Congressional hearings. The only thing they do is waste time and money and point out how ridiculously stupid certain members of Congress are.
And that is something of which we are already painfully aware.
